- A Forgotten Legend Anaivere The First Forewords

Tùy Chỉnh

I first wrote the original draft of this historical piece at some times around 2013 (give or take half a year), and had quite forgotten it for about till 2015. Anaivere Plantagenet was my third creation overall and also the third to be created in my Legendary Trio, yet the only one amongst the three that had surprisingly been able to live up to her name, at the time of this writing. Honestly, I have never expected her, my third creation, to be such illustrious, given my status and my talents.

Anaivere's little Author, while having a beloved creation, was quite a pitiful child in reality and seldom prided upon her accomplishments, especially things in regard to literature. This writer's mask I adorn does not make me excel in Literature, it does otherwise. I oftentimes find myself struggling to survive Literature classes, yet be able to write expansive historical tales which people will probably praise; in a world where grades worth more than mere talents, I am a condemned. They share my damned fortune— the first two creations— and I believed Anaivere would too, but miraculously she was blessed with a name that would be remembered.

This tale is, as it can be said, my first tale written purely in English, though all in the Trio have their origins in my mother's tongue (the drafts which have unfortunately been lost). I wrote in the words a newly learnt child would write and strived for the better in my writing. I have learnt a lot just retelling these tales. Sherline* has served her purpose as the setting stone for the tales of all who came after to be built upon, Hortense** has served her purpose as the sandstone on which my quill be sharpened and Anaivere has also become the fiery flame in which my quill was reforged and honed to higher perfection. The original tale of Anaivere Plantagenet I put onto this pyre of my own creation, and from the ashes of an amateur's past, the unnamed princess was reborn into a beloved legend.

My proudest child— the holder of my purity and youth— was born from forsaken talents and one anonymous author, yet grew up to be legendary. I thank those who have been silently supporting me and loving Anaivere, although it is indeed the souls my hands created can never rival whom I came after.
